Tour participants have been arriving in Lisbon for the last few days, each of us doing our “own” thing!

On May 3^rd, Carla and Robert rounded us up and drove us to our hotel in Sintra, the Pestana Sintra Golf Resort and Spa Hotel. Very elegant, and we’ll spend two nights here, but we can’t get spoiled, as not all of our hotels will be this elegant!

We gathered for an evening welcome in the hotel garden and began to get to know our fellow tourists. Some of us have toured together before and some of us are new acquaintances. Looks like we’ll be a very cordial group:

This morning the drivers and just a few navigators have gone to the warehouse to pick up the Model As and bring them back to the hotel. We understand that all the cars have arrived – only two flat tires and one serious oil leak that we know of so far. We’ll have the rest of the day on our own to check out the historic sights here in Sintra.
