May 7 – 9:  Just a quick note to let you know we’re all fine… We’ve had a couple of long days, some mechanical issues, and weak internet. You know, this isn’t all fun and games: we have daily navigators meetings, and here’s a sample of images from one meeting:

And, thanks to the Griesses, we’ve got a shot of mechanics at work, and Rene directing traffic at a breakdown point. Note the florescent vest – legally required for all motorists in Europe to have in the car in case of breakdown.

Next, let me show you an attempt at a map from Lisbon at the southern point of our tour up to Porto.

After we left Porto, we headed basically east, and I’ll try to catch up as soon as possible.
