Day 10 (October 9, 2021): Manitou Springs to Montrose Colorado, approximately 186 miles.

The past two days were tour highlights, but we had another special event this morning – crossing the Royal Gorge Bridge.  This bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic for several years, but our fearless tour leader Marcus was able to get a permit for our Model A’s to cross over the bridge and back before the park opened.

Next, we continued toward Montrose and drove across Monarch Pass, the highest we’ve crossed yet (but “only” 11,000 feet in elevation) and crossed the continental divide.

Day 11 (October 10, 2021): Montrose, Colorado, to Moab, Utah, approximately 166 miles.

We had two routes to choose from today.  Most of us took the scenic, but longer route, and here are some photos taken by several members:

In the evening, we had a BBQ dinner overlooking the Colorado River then took a cruise with illuminated views of the canyon walls:
